About My Practice

What is your main focus when doing cosmetic dentistry?

Dr. Roth:

Changing someone’s smile while making it much healthier. There are plenty of dentists who can slap veneers on your teeth but not very many dentists understand the underlying bite processes to make those veneers last and stay healthy.

How do you put patients at ease?

Dr. Chase:

You have to spend time with your patients and have honest conversations with them. The patient has to trust you and know that what you’re recommending is the same thing you would recommend to your own family.

What is your overall practice philosophy?

Dr. Chase:

Providing cosmetic dentistry and optimal oral health using the most advanced and conservative approach possible to achieve my patient’s goals. I also take the time to educate each patient along the way about home care and oral health to ensure they keep their beautiful smile for a lifetime.

About Me

What is your communication style?

Dr. Roth:

I’m an active listener. It’s important for me to hear the patient and truly understand what they want.

What inspired you to pursue dentistry?

Dr. Chase:

I have three other dentists in my family so I have been surrounded by dentistry my entire life. The combination of art, science and technology drew me in right away. I knew I was going to be a dentist from the first time I visited my family’s office.

FAQs

  1. Can a bad bite cause chronic headaches and migraines?
    What our experts say:

90 percent of the headaches we see are muscular tension headaches related to a bad bite, clenching or grinding. A properly constructed TMJ appliance can heal most of these problems very quickly. It's all about getting a proper diagnosis. And, by the way, store-bought nightguards do more harm than good!

  2. Can you get a cavity in a crown?
    What our experts say:

A crown is like a new coat of outer armor, which restores and strengthens a tooth. The crown is either cemented or bonded to the tooth underneath. Caries or tooth decay is a biologic process that can happen at any time and is completely dependent on the patient's susceptibility to decay, their level of home care (brushing and flossing) and their regular maintenance schedule with the dentist. Great crowns need great maintenance and care afterwards.

  3. How can a smile makeover help me look younger?
    What our experts say:

90 percent of people surveyed consider the smile to be the most important aspect of a person's face. A smile makeover can change the way you are perceived by the opposite sex, your employers, colleagues, clients and the public. Most important is what it can do for your confidence!

  4. How much can tooth contouring change my smile?
    What our experts say:

Sometimes subtle changes in the contour or shape of teeth can change the way a smile looks. For example, softer looks can be accomplished by rounding edges and evening out edges can make a patient look younger.

  5. What is the difference between a home teeth whitening kit and one provided by a dentist?
    What our experts say:

The biggest differences are the concentration of the whitener is stronger from the dentist and the fit of the tray receptacle is better, which allows the whitener to work better. The most important part: the supervision of the dentist. (We aren't whitewashing the garage door here.) Human beings are using the whitener and need to be under the care of a doctor. Some patients have decay, wear and cracks which can be damaged further by random whitening.
