Beth G. Goldstein

Looking back on her career of more than 32 years, Dr. Beth G. Goldstein recalls the moment she knew she wanted to help others with their lifelong journeys to healthy skin. “In medical school I was unsure of which specialty to pursue, and the dermatology residency program director advised me of the importance of this field. He said, ‘You’re taking care of people’s public-facing image, which improves their ability to be in the world, which is hugely impactful in their lives.’” From chronic conditions and nonsurgical skin cancer procedures to facial rejuvenation, her goal is to educate others on achieving the best skin at every age. “With Modern Ritual, which I cofounded with my daughter, Elianna Goldstein, we help provide healthy skin for life by improving access to dermatologists with skin cancer screenings in pharmacies, wellness centers and primary care offices. Modern Ritual was founded on the belief that daily rituals lead to better skin and body health.”

1. How are you able to remove cancer without cutting?

   We use high-resolution ultrasound technology to zero in on basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma and the surrounding tissue, and superficial radiation to treat the carcinoma, which only goes a few millimeters deep into the skin.

2. What are you most proud of about your practice?

   Our ability to treat a variety of concerns. We have a medical director, skin-care and laser center, dermapathology, and device-driven treatments. I find it to be a privilege to be able to improve the lives of my patients.
